I want to create an experience where users can play with particles ("stars") and be able to gather and toss them into the sky, where the stay put rather than rain down. The motion I want to track is similar to this video, except we do not need the outline of hands:
This is not something I want to do in VR, but as a projected output. Does anyone know what software would lend itself best to this purpose? I know Isadora has a particle feature, but am not sure if it's as complex/realistic looking as the ones in this video. I'm looking for 3D particle rendering rather than 2D. Also, how would this motion of grabbing particles and tossing them translate into Leap's tracking terminology? Which parameters do we map to the particles' motion in order to achieve this specific type of interaction? I'd appreciate advice regarding both this issue and software suggestions!
